1. GENDER INTELLIGENCE: To understand the leadership differences between men and women. A Two days workshop.

1.1 Background

Each of us enters the workplace not only as a human being, but as a woman or a man. Men and women have different needs and want to live happily and work productively. We perceived and communicate differently.  We face and manage our stress differently. This workshop links the actual science of male/female brain differences to every aspect of life. The two days course presents brain science tools with which participants can look into the brains of men and women to understand themselves and one another. The course also provides tools and tips, which can be used immediately in management at workplace and in parenting at home.

The aim is to help participants increase their organization's competitive edge and productivity by:

  1. Increasing gender intelligence between men and women,
  2. Discovering new ways to supervise, negotiate, and manage  men and women,
  3. Revising male/female relationships to meet the demands of the modern working family life
  4. Understanding how to utilize gender science to work as a team at workplace and at home.

  1. Objectives:
At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:

2. Stress Management And Instilling Universal Values

  1. Background
Today’s workforce is experiencing job burnout and stress in epidemic proportions. Workers at all levels feel stressed out, insecure, and misunderstood. Many people feel the demands of the workplace, combined with the demands of home, have become too much to handle. This two days workshop explores the causes of such stress, and suggests general and specific stress management strategies that people can use every day.

  1. Objectives:

Specific learning objectives include

-          Understand that stress is a positive, unavoidable part of everybody’s life

-          Recognize the symptoms that tell you when you have chronic stress overload

-          Identify those situations in your life that cause you the greatest stress

-          Understand and appreciate the different between men and women facing dan managing stress

-          Identify those actions which add to your stress

-          Change the situations and actions that can be changed

-           Deal better with situations and actions that can’t be changed

-          Create and applying “The Five Love Languages” to help reduce and manage stress


3.      Course Outline

Day One

0830 - 1030

  1. Introduction and Course Overview. You will spend the first part of the day getting to know participants and discussing what will take place during the workshop. Students will also have an opportunity to identify their personal learning objectives.

  2. Defining Stress and How It Affects Us. To begin, participants will discuss how they would currently handle stressful situations. Participants will also define stress, and they will learn what their score on the preassignment (the Holmes-Rahe stress scale) means. To conclude the session, participants will discuss the role of gender and health on stress.
1100 -1300

  1. What Is Stress About? This session will explore the four things that stress is about. Participants will also learn about the positive effects of stress and what eustress is.
1430 - 1630

  1. Building a Solid Foundation Different between Men and Women facing Stress. Next, participants will learn about the different between men and women facing and managing stress.

  2. Mental Strategies. This session will give participants mental strategies (Body- Soul-Lust- Mind – Heart) to manage stress.

Day Two  ____________________________________

0830 – 1030

  1. Stress at Work During this session, participants will complete a stress inventory to help them identify areas of stress at work. Participants will also identify some solutions for work-related stress.

  2. Time Management Tips A little bit of planning can go a long way towards reducing stress. Participants will work in small groups to brainstorm ways of managing time.

1100 - 1300

  1. Stress at Home Next, participants will get some tips on running their household in a way that reduces stress, including budgeting, planning meals, general organization, and chores.

1430 - 1630

  1. Drainers and Fillers To wrap things up, participants will identify the things that drain and energize them. They will also take another look at the stressful situations from this morning to see how they might approach those situations differently now.

  2. Workshop Wrap-Up At the end of the day, participants will be able to plan to apply The Five Love Languages” at home and workplace.
